Maybe you’re working through something intentionally. Maybe life is pushing you into something new without asking first. Either way, your body feels it. Restless. Foggy. Like you’re not quite who you were, but not yet who you’re becoming.
This discomfort? It’s part of the process. Your nervous system wants you to stay where it’s familiar—even if that means holding onto habits and thoughts that no longer serve you. That pull isn’t a sign to quit. It’s a sign that change is working.
Even when it doesn’t feel like it, you’re moving.
I think about my father, who had a surge of energy right before he passed. He laughed, played cards, showed up with presence. Two days later, he was gone. And it reminded me—our minds and bodies often resist the letting go until the very end. The same can be true during transformation. You hold on, hoping maybe you won’t have to change. But eventually, the shift happens.
We’ve been taught to make dramatic changes. But real growth happens in quiet, tiny steps. One meal. One walk. One journal entry. It doesn’t have to be massive to matter.
Mel Robbins once said the most powerful part of “Just Do It” is the Just. Just take one walk. Just start the day with a nourishing breakfast. Just write your thoughts once this week. And then, when you’re ready—just do it again.
What’s one thing that’s no longer serving you?
What’s one thing you’re craving more of?
What’s one tiny move you can make this week?
You don’t need a partner to get started. You don’t need someone to walk with, cook with, or hold you accountable to your routine. You can be that person for yourself. Right now. In this season.
Be the partner you’ve always wanted. Speak kindly to yourself. Take the step you wish someone would take with you. This is how you start creating the life you want—before someone else steps into it.
I used to think doing more made me more worthy. I’d host the perfect event, cook everything from scratch, manage all the details. Not because I had to—but because deep down, I was trying to prove I was enough.
Eventually, I saw it. I wasn’t just being generous—I was overgiving, overperforming, and over-functioning… all to hide the fear that I wasn’t enough as I was.
Do you do that, too?
In your relationships, do you give more than you have to offer?
Do you isolate instead, afraid of being measured?
This week, ask yourself: Where are you overcompensating? And what would it look like to believe you’re enough—even if you did less?
Have you ever left a brunch, party, or casual hangout and felt heavier than when you arrived? You expected connection. Instead, you felt drained.
It happens. You start growing. Your conversations shift. And suddenly, being surrounded by people doesn’t mean you feel seen.
That doesn’t make you judgmental. It means you’re evolving. And that can be lonely—but it’s also a sign you’re ready for something more aligned.
If a group no longer fuels you, you don’t owe it your presence. The next time you’re invited somewhere, pause. Ask yourself:
Is this for me?
Will I feel better after this experience—or smaller?
You’re not being too sensitive. You’re noticing. That’s growth.
And if you need a moment to ground yourself in the “in between,” let this land:
What are these wings on my back
How did they get here
Developed slowly but surely
What’s this I say
As they start flapping on their own
The sense of freedom pulling up in my belly
In the dark for so long
Not truly trusting this feeling
Can it be?
Can I be?
Truly ready to fly
Ready to be FREE
Let’s see.
You don’t have to change everything. You don’t need to do it all. But you can take one small step.
What’s your one thing this week? One tiny move that shifts your energy, lifts your mood, or reminds you that you’re already becoming.
You’ve got this. Even if it feels messy right now—you’re already rising.
